It's Friday already?

My arm is still sore from the Tdap vaccine I got yesterday. I'm guessing it's from the tetanus portion of the shot, because I seem to recall a sore arm last time I got the tetanus. I'm glad I got that done so I know I won't have to worry about passing on whooping cough to any of my sweet grandchildren! Darvin's had his too, so we're good to go in the grandparenting department!

Speaking of grandchildren, baby Brooklyn lost her umbilical cord stump this morning. When Thomas was changing Brooklyn's clothes this morning he asked Lindsey, "Brooklyn lost her umbilical cord stump?" "She did?" Lindsey replied. He found it in her jammies. Hooray! I love it when that icky stump is gone. So much easier to change diapers. Her belly button looks really good, no infection. They'd been cleaning the stump with rubbing alcohol every time they changed her diaper.

Lindsey's been having excruciating pain at the latch when breastfeeding. You know the kind that feels like a knife being stabbed from your nipple to your heart, that makes you want to give a blood curdling scream?! Totally normal and I remember it well, even though I haven't breastfed for over 22 years! I hope it passes soon for her sake! Poor Linds.

And a shout out for Thomas. He made the Dean's list at BSU!!!

Lindsey made sugar cookies with frosting last night. I LOVE sugar cookies with frosting and this morning they were sitting on the counter calling my name. I finally asked Thomas if I could put them in a ziploc bag and put them up in the cupboard. I didn't even lick my fingers after putting them away! I AM stronger than the sugar cookies! I'm sure my body appreciated the banana I ate a lot more than it would have appreciated those darn cookies!

Brooklyn took her second family walk today.
