Sunday, a day of worship, a day of rest. Lindsey and Thomas's church starts at 11 a.m. I missed the last 2 weeks. The first week was the day after Brooklyn was born and then last week I took 'Emmett duty' for the night so that Briana could get some sleep before their long 12ish hour airplane journey home. He had a really restless night so after I took Emmett and Briana to the airport I came back to Lindsey and Thomas's and went back to bed. I didn't wake up until sometime that afternoon. So it was nice to be able to get back to church this morning, take the Sacrament and listen to the talks. It was High Council Sunday in their ward. Both of the High Councilmen that spoke gave really good talks. We found out from the second speaker that the first speaker Brother Krueger is an artist by trade. You could tell by the way he painted pictures with his words! He told us about his past struggles with studying the scriptures and saying his prayers. He then talked about how he recently committed to really studying his scriptures each day and formally praying on his knees twice a day. I love one of the insights he shared, "An intermediate dedication to something is no dedication at all." He told us that because of the commitment that he's made he feels stronger and more confident.
His message really resonated with me. As I've begun this Getting Healthy Challenge it's focused me on many different areas including scriptures, prayer, exercise and daily food choices. I am so grateful that I've had the opportunity to participate in this challenge because I feel like it's helped me to finally change from an intermediate dedication in these areas of my life to full dedication. Brother Krueger indicated that as he gave full dedication to these areas that he's been blessed to feel stronger and more confident. I'm certain that as I continue I will ALSO be blessed to feel stronger and stronger and more confident.

This afternoon Brooklyn had her second bath at home.

She enjoyed it much more than her first home bath!

I'm feeling conflicting emotions this evening as I prepare to return home tomorrow. It will be wonderful to be home with Darvin and our puppies, but I'll sure miss Lindsey, Thomas and our sweet little baby Brooklyn!
